Internet Business For Beginners

You’ve started your internet marketing business and now your thinking “what do I do next”? I started this business because I have dreams and desires of financial freedom, getting away from my boss that only looks at his agenda and doesn’t care about anyone else’s, spending quality time with my family, or maybe to rebuild your self-esteem because your boss only looks for your faults. Either way you have just joined one of the best professions available that allows you to achieve your dreams.

Network marketing is one of the fastest growing career opportunities in the United States. Millions of people just like you have abandoned dead-end jobs for the chance to achieve the dream of growing their own businesses. What many of them find, however, is that the first year in network marketing is often the most challenging and, for some, the most discouraging.

There is so much hype, garbage that people are promoting today and your inbox is getting fuller and fuller each day. Which training platform do you use? Who is creditable? Who is legitimate and cares about my success? Each a great question that you are going to need to figure out fast before you spend lots of money. One thing is for sure, pick a company that has a strong training platform. Ask yourself, is their training platform relevant to today’s market or is it old school marketing? Does the company want you to go to the shopping center and seek out applicants or spend money buying leads and spending countless hours on the phone trying to talk someone into your business and they have never heard of your business or you. Look for a company that focuses on today’s technology, the internet uses a large host of ways to reach targeted prospects.

There are some things you can do to protect your money while getting started in your business:

1) Get educated. The best investment you can make is in yourself. As Jim Rohn said “you need to work harder on yourself than you do on your job”. You ask yourself how I do that. Read books, attend seminars, study the best people in our industry and then apply the information you have learned. People think that an online business is easy and they don’t need any training. The truth is that it can be easy but you still need to learn how to do it. It took you four years to get your college degree; you’re not going to get your internet marketing degree in one month. Setup a time to educate yourself each day.

2) Pick one system to work with and stay with it. A big mistake people make when trying to start or build an online business is that they enter into it with the wrong idea of what it really takes. They are seduced by all the promises of quick riches and when it doesn’t happen as quickly as they wore told it would, they think there is something wrong with the system they are working and they go out and sign up for another. If you keep jumping from one system to another you will spend lots of money and you won’t make any. Find a system that you like and are confidant with and stop getting sidetracked by all the rest of the junk that comes into your in basket.

3) Spend only what you need to spend to make money. There are people out there that are promoting every type of product to help you make money online. Spend your money only on a platform that will give you a return on your investment. Remember what I said earlier, “invest in yourself” and become a student of your business.

Follow these simple tactics on how to make money online and you can achieve results quickly and you will soon see your dream come true.

Five Tips Before You Start an Online Business

Five tips to know before starting an online business.

People start online or internet business for many reasons.

- They want to work from home.
- They want to be entrepreneurs.
- They want to fire their bosses or their bosses have fired them.
- They want to make money online.
- They are looking to add to their existing cash flow.
- They can’t find another job that pays well.

For what ever reason people like us start online home businesses, it has been my experience that by doing a little homework will save you a lot of time and most of all money and avoid the pitfalls that most online entrepreneurs run into.

Don’t get me wrong, I encourage capitalism and the spirit of entrepreneurs all over the world. But there’s nothing more frustrating, heartbreaking and depressing than putting so much effort into a business and watching it die before it even gets off the ground.

I would like to share my personal experiences of running a few online businesses as well as a small retail business and the five things that I believe people can benefit from. The experiences have been both good, bad and at time painful and humbling, but through the pain and frustration comes enlightenment, knowledge and a rekindling of my own faith and confidence in starting a new online venture and moving forward.

The first thing is your STATE OF MIND.

Some call it “mindset” or “attitude” but it’s the same thing and it starts here. You must be absolutely positive and committed to success and not be afraid to fail. Being industrious, confident, enthusiastic and completely focused on the end result will help you through the very frustrating time of the start up phase. At times you will feel overwhelmed, but know that it’s perfectly normal. But you need to push through it. Without a good solid state of mind, your business will surely fail. It’s just like building the tallest building upon sand. No matter how big the vision, without a strong base it can’t help but crumble. My business coach taught me to work on myself twice as hard as I worked on my business. That’s because the success of the business is a result of what goes on in my head. Key: Read great books about great people everyday.

The second thing is RESEARCH.
There are literally thousands of online business opportunities on the web. And they are all competing for your money. They sound good, they look good and some are very are very enticing, but few can deliver what they say they can. Do not make the same mistake that I have made in the past. Don’t decide right away and never make a decision based on emotion or how “cool” the site looks and especially when they say it’s EASY. Anything worthwhile is going to require hard work on your part. Research companies that you’re interested in. Check their track record. Research, research and more research. You’ll thank yourself later. Key: Use the internet to research businesses.

The next thing is your BUDGET.

No matter what, you’re going to have to invest some money on building your business. Building an online business is no different that any other type of business. Make sure you know exactly how much you are willing to invest and spend it wisely. You don’t have to spend a lot of money at first (and I don’t recommend that you do so), but as your business grows, you will definitely want to direct more money into your marketing plan. Successful marketing is the key to any great business. Key: Sit down and write down on a piece of paper exactly how much you want to invest.

The fourth thing is DISCIPLINE.
If you are going to be working from home, you really need to learn to block out distractions and master your time management. Working from home sounds really exciting when you think about it. No bosses, spouses or kids to bother you are wonderful things, but without self discipline you’ll end up watching TV, taking a nap, going to mall to buy something for the business, then you get side tracked. Next thing you know, it’s been a few hours and nothing got done. Make a schedule the night before and follow it no matter what unless there’s an emergency or something. You can always tell if you displayed discipline and proper time management by asking yourself at the end of each day “did I accomplish everything that I needed to for my business to succeed’?

The final element is PERSISTENCE.
So many of us, including myself have given up when success was right around the corner. Work hard and with enthusiasm and things will start to happen. It may take a time and while I can’t tell you exactly how long it may take because every person and every business is different, I can tell you this, winners of races don’t always go to the fastest or strongest, but a lot of time to the person who never gave up and stayed in the race. Abraham Lincoln failed twice in business, lost eight political elections before becoming president and suffered a nervous breakdown before he was elected president.

There are other traits and element to success but you’ll find they will fall within one of these categories. I wish you all the best on your journey. May you find or create the right online business for yourselves.

Is Your Business Consultant Working For You?

When you hire a professional business consultant, what benefits will you receive from your investment? The right consultant will be someone who will work with your company’s needs in mind, rather than using a cookie-cutter approach. Read on for some helpful tips and food for thought for ensuring that your needs are met when you hire someone to help you grow and / or improve your business. You should never feel in the dark about what’s happening and you should have full knowledge of what it will take to reach your goals.

You are hiring a consultant, not a ‘repair service’ so that consultant will consult with you every step of the journey toward reaching milestones and achieving the goals that you and that consultant set.

Assessment

A skilled business consultant will do more than just apply their ‘tried and true’ techniques to every business. Sure, there will be a degree of proven methodologies and success secrets applied to your business but an experienced consultant won’t jump in head first and won’t act before carefully assessing your company’s business model. They will first want to understand your business so they can make a needs-analysis based on your strengths, weaknesses, desires, and long-term goals and then after meetings with you about your business and a careful analysis, they’ll help you do goal setting and plan for the future.

Goals

What are your business goals? Consultants can work with you to map tat out. Beyond that, they can work with you to make a plan that will help you reach your goals. It’s not enough to say to your consultant that you’re interested in doubling your revenue and capturing 75% of the market share in your geographical locale and then expecting to pay a fast fee in order to make that happen. In order to reach your goals, a plan of action needs to be put in motion and there will be milestones and roadblocks to overcome along the route.

Regular Communication

When you work with someone who is supposed to help you with your logistics, your marketing, streamlining your processes, and other business areas, you’ll want someone collaborating with you and communicating with you regularly. Not only will that expert help make things happen for you but they should also coach you so that you know how things are happening and what, precisely, your investment is doing for your business.

Results

How long before you’ll see results with your business consultant? That will vary depending on many factors, such as what, exactly, you are looking to accomplish. But if you hire a skilled business consultant with a proven track record of success, you’ll start to see results quickly. There may be stepping stones toward ultimate success but there should be evident milestones met throughout the process so that you can see that your investment in time, money, and effort is paying off and helping you increase your success.
